Promise Uzoma Okoro (PUO) is trending on social media space of my dear State of Abia just as Tochukwu Ogbuagu KepukepuTv once trended some months back and the reasons for the trend is very clear and quite similar.

Having been very vocal supporters and massive beneficiaries of the eight (8) years reign of the immediate past PDP led government, a lot of emotional people in our space expect them not to move on with their lives after their main source of relevance then, the PDP lost power.

The joke is more on the people whose performance could not allow them hold onto power with the support of the masses during the last election.

If a lady leaves a former lover who despite being financially stable could not offer great thrust because of the quality of their erection for a more reliable offer from another, the odds are high that the moment an erectile dysfunction comes knocking at your door of the new guy, that she would smartly take flight onto the next source of rock solid erection and desert you who once took her to heaven and back with your thrust quality.

Would you blame her outrightly for leaving you? The answer is no because that which brought her to you ab initio is no more available.

What would make you think that a young, ambitious businessman that has seen the ease with which you can become rich just by aligning yourself with the people in power, would dare to continue to stay loyal to those who are not in power and risk the threat of “hunger”?

We need to be more practical here kwanu. What other business in Nigeria yields huge and quick return on investment as much as political patronage in this country?

Assuming PUO chooses to stay back knowing that he has his bills to pay and needs to remain relevant, what would the PDP offer him?

See, we must speak our truths without fear of whom it hurts. PDP is now a dirty plate and not everyone who used such plates is always disposed to washing a dirty plate. To some, plates that are dirty are best thrown away or discarded.

Not every woman wants to be with you in your time of lack, some of them would always leave you once you lose relevance and return later to “ride you to the moon like they never left” once your pump starts flowing again.

PUO is not the problem here but your inability to hold onto power through stelar performance while in office, is the issue. Businessmen are loyal to their interests and not how you feel about their choices.

When you all were in power and we criticized you for some strategic inactions, men like PUO were paid to counter us and call us names in some cases. I hope you all can now see who the real friends who wanted you all to succeed are.

The PDP groomed the young man well, they exposed him real time to the game, and he seems to have learnt so well and there is nothing anyone can do about it.

This is a game of mutual usage of people. In this case, at this minute PUO seems to be the PDP’s karma.

Ọnụ na eriwago eriwa adigo committed! Always remember this when you want a guy who has tasted power and resources that can be accessed from being with the ruling party to come and endure with you in opposition.

For me, there is a reason my circle is small, it is mainly for the sake of managing interests.

That is why I have stuck unrepentantly with my Boss for as long as I can remember, and I am also not ready to look elsewhere to go to yet.. In my lineage, we are not known to be too desperate for anything.

Leave PUO alone Ụmụnne m and face your various realities, we don’t have to always fight dirty when businessmen negotiate for their interest. If you cannot offer PUO what he needs now, let him go. It is as simple as that.

The game is very simple, from PUO’s calculations, it is a straight eight years for the Labour Party, that is if Dr. Alex Otti does not change his party.

peradventure anything unforeseen happens and power moves out from the grip of Dr. Alex Otti, PUO would still move to where it is more convenient for him and his interest. You must deal with it as your reality.

At worst he sells every form of shame to kneel down in public to apologize for all he is doing today , when the time comes in the future.

Who knows, they may offer him the ticket to run for Local Government Chairman this time on Labour Party platform, something bigger than what he tasted in PDP… Hahahahahahaahaha…….. Politicians are diehard optimists!

Let us stop aching our head over issues bothering on “relocation”, for some of us that have chosen to be loyal till death to a course, it is a choice we willingly made and must remain so.

We must not be used as yardsticks to judge others, as loyalty is a skill that is groomed and nurtured overtime. Loyalty to friendship often comes at a huge cost which not everyone can pay.

The people who are the victims of our brother moving to where it is convenient for him mainly are the ones who never paid attention to the diehard loyalists in their spaces while they had political power, who have now come to terms with the reality that they all have been played.

In this game of politics down here, the good and very loyal guys are always know to be understanding and would always be neglected once the power is acquired but the less predictable you are to the power brokers with a tangible nuisance value, the more these men in power would definitely go over the moon to keep you in their space, so as to do those jobs they would often need you to do for them.

Instead of you to be online barking at PUO, plead with your own Oga to assist you get education or send you out of Nigeria. You can always support their interest from there and if need be, fund them too when the need arises.

You can weigh your options now to and do a PUO if you are not very strong on convictions. You don’t want to move out of PDP when it would not be beneficial to you because deep down most of you envy PUO but are not shameless and brave enough to take action.

Don’t make so much noise about PUO, because once your principle’s interest aligns with that of the people in power, they make peace and you the otimkpu would be traded instantly.

PUO has a huge nuisance value which your hatred for him cannot take away.

He comes to the table with something tangible and that is why despite the pushbacks he is having from the members of Labour Party, PUO would still step into their midst in style and have some good time ahead of the good, understanding, loyal Labour Party members who would always be explained to and admonished to be patient.

Let us chill, as everyone would be okay with time. The day you lose relevance, always know that only very few people would still identify with you, this is what life is.

As i close, take your time to look out for those whose loyalty are solid, who would be bold enough to tell you the truth about your inactions privately while you are in power and also stick with you when others leave.
