When the 2024 JAMB results were released, the Nigerian people wailed and cried because of the poor performance of the candidates. This young chap, who is the subject of this write up, is the first son of his family. He hails from somewhere in Abia State, Nigeria called Ihechiowa.

When I stumbled upon his year one result at Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka I was forced to ask questions about whom the chap is with clear interest, in his academic trajectory.

The journey to being a medical doctor.

It turned out that he is an alumnus of Federal Government College Nise where he had his Secondary school education.

Upon graduation from Secondary school, his ambition to study Medicine and Surgery was about to take a rough dive off the expected tangent because his parents did not really know any influential person closely to meet on his behalf, in other to assist Chukwuemeka secure the often highly prized admission.

Having explored all the options aimed at helping him to secure this admission without any success, his parents then decided to send him to Nnamdi Azikiwe University Prescience programme at Mbaukwu Anambra State.

The one-year programme ended with Mr. Chukwuemeka coming out among the best students and as such without his parents meeting anyone on his behalf, secured the admission to study Medicine and Surgery at Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka purely on merit.

Having such an overly excellent year one result as a medical student, reaffirmed quite strongly, that the prescience result was never a flash in the pan of academic performance.

On the side, he does some graphics designs and printing jobs to earn some income which he uses to add to what his parents give to him, to train himself in school.  He engages in these other jobs to raise some funds for himself so that his parents can focus on his other five (5) siblings.

With parents who are civil servants, who barely are earning a living wage, such a son is an asset to this family and to the world at large. Chukwuemeka would need all the support he can get, to live out his best life ever on earth and as a budding professional.

Training up a child in the way he or she should go.

When you look closely at this result attached to this write up, you would notice a course where he was wrongly over graded. He as a child trained to be straight forward and honest has reached out to the examination and records unit, so as to have it corrected.
