KIDNAPPING FOR RANSOM OR FORCEFUL ORGAN HARVESTING, THE “NEW NIGERIAN OIL WELL”.

Source; Premium Times

While nations like Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Jordan have so much to show for the rare privilege of having crude oil wells in commercial quantities, our beloved country Nigeria is worse off for the presence of such assets, in our territorial waters.

The analogy being expressed here, where kidnapping and oil well are found in a sentence, does not in any way confer anything good on the description of this violent crime of kidnapping people for ransom or to harvest their organs.

Rather we are trying to say that this violent crime is assuming unimaginable dimensions as the day goes by while the perpetrators are smiling to the bank just as oil and gas subsidy merchants in Nigeria do, at the expense of the nation.

We acknowledge that there has been an unimaginable rise in criminal activities especially in the South East, ever since our brothers started being a bit fierce, in their agitation for secession from the Nigerian State.

This ambition championed by Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) was fueled by the nonchalant disposition of the federal government, towards the people and development of the Southeast.

Maybe CIA and MOSSAD would have been invited to hunt the South Easterner down unlike the manner in which the case is no more on the front pages of national dailies.
